Threading

I recently had the privilege to receive a threading demonstration treatment as shown in the video below, from a top South Korean doctor, Hanjin Kwon M.D.  It hurts no more than filler treatment, and topical numbing cream can be used before starting.  Recovery is very similar to filler with temporary bruising, swelling, soreness for about a week.  I had bruises that looked like stripes on my face for at least a week.  I covered them with makeup, no big deal.  Bruising is less if you avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil supplements, St. John's Wort, wine and any other blood thinning medications for at least ten days before the treatment.

I know you are probably asking, is it better than filler?  My answer is, No, just another option to achieve similar results.   One possible advantage of threading is the risk of intravascular occlusion seen with filler injection is not present.  The results may be more delayed than filler.  Pricing is similar to filler and depends on number of areas treated.
